Online video allowed them to demonstrate to the sighted what it's like for a visually-impaired person to try to get past the anti-spam CAPTCHAs used by most social networks. (It's since been removed - see link.) They succeeded in getting Facebook to change their procedure.
WGA Strike
Using online video, the WGA bypassed traditional media to reach the public directly, and drew on the star quality of many of its writers and supporters. They confounded predictions and won a more advantageous contract than more than most observers were expecting. Not all of the videos - or even the best ones - were official!
